But the wilderness is constantly changing, and expanding too aggressively can leave your pack vulnerable to rival wolves.

How to Play The Wolves

In The Wolves, each player takes control of a wolf pack competing for dominance across a changing wilderness.

The game uses a modular map made up of hexagonal terrain regions. Players move their wolves across the map, establish dens, recruit lone wolves, hunt prey, and compete for control of valuable territories.

Each turn, players perform two actions. The clever part is that actions are powered by terrain tiles. Players flip terrain tiles matching the terrain associated with the action they want to perform.

Because these tiles are double-sided, the actions you take now can influence which actions and terrain types will be available to you later. This creates an evolving action-selection puzzle where planning ahead is just as important as reacting to your opponents.
