Standalone Betrayal Card Game
Betrayal: Deck of Lost Souls is a standalone game, meaning you do not need Betrayal at House on the Hill to play. It takes the suspense, secrecy and horror atmosphere of Betrayal and turns it into a focused card game experience.
Players take on secret roles as explorers trying to defeat Omens and Curses, while a possible traitor attempts to stop them from breaking the true Curse.
Secret Roles and Hidden Betrayal
At the start of the game, each player receives a secret role. Most players are explorers working together, but someone may be the traitor trying to mislead the group and help the Curse win.
This creates tension throughout the game as players try to cooperate, share strategy and figure out who they can trust.
Defeat Omens and Curses
Players use Item cards to defeat dangerous Omens and Curses hidden within the deck. Each threat requires different Items, so explorers must plan carefully and help each other gather what they need before the end of the game.
If the explorers have the right Items to defeat the true Curse, they win. If they fail, the traitor wins.
