Create a Beautiful Garden of Trees
Build the arboretum of your dreams with Arboretum, an elegant and strategic card game where every tree you plant can become part of a beautiful garden path. Designed by Dan Cassar, this engaging game combines hand management, set collection, pattern building, and tactical decision-making in a compact experience that typically takes around 30 minutes.
Choose which trees to plant, which cards to keep in your hand, and how to arrange your growing arboretum. The challenge lies in balancing the cards you play with the cards you hold, as the cards remaining in your hand can determine which tree species you are able to score.
Why You'll Love Arboretum
- Build Your Own Arboretum: Create beautiful connected paths using colorful tree cards.

- Clever Hand Management: Decide carefully which cards to play and which valuable cards to keep.
- Strategic Scoring: Build ascending paths between trees of the same species to maximize your points.
- Interactive Gameplay: The cards you keep can affect which species you are able to score, creating opportunities for clever play and tactical blocking.
- Beautiful Tree Artwork: Discover a range of distinctive tree species presented through beautifully illustrated cards.
- Quick Game Sessions: With games taking around 30 minutes, Arboretum is ideal for repeated plays.
- Perfect for Family & Strategy Gamers: Supports 2–4 players and offers an approachable experience with surprising strategic depth.
How to Play
On your turn, draw two cards from the deck or available discard piles, add one card to your arboretum, and discard another. As your garden grows, arrange trees into paths where values increase from one card to the next.
At the end of the game, players determine which tree species they can score based partly on the cards remaining in their hands. This creates an interesting tension between building the most attractive paths and holding the right cards to secure scoring opportunities.
