Take to the streets of New York and orchestrate a colourful dance of umbrellas in Umbrella, an engaging abstract strategy and puzzle board game where every move can change the entire board.

In Umbrella, players strategically slide colourful umbrellas across a 4×4 grid, attempting to recreate specific patterns shown on their Figure Tiles. Carefully choose which umbrella to move, where to push it, and which pattern to complete as you work toward scoring points and passing completed challenges to your opponents.

With its simple movement rules, satisfying spatial puzzles, and clever scoring system, Umbrella offers an accessible yet thoughtfully strategic experience for families, casual gamers, and board game enthusiasts alike.

How to Play Umbrella

Each player begins with a personal 4×4 grid containing umbrellas in four different colours. Figure Tiles show specific arrangements that players need to create using umbrellas of the same colour.

On your turn, select an umbrella from an adjacent Waiting Zone and slide it onto your grid. As the umbrella enters your board, another umbrella is pushed out from the opposite side, changing the arrangement of your grid.

The challenge is to plan these movements carefully and create the required patterns without losing control of your board.

Successfully completing a Figure allows you to place a scoring token on your scoreboard and pass the completed Figure Tile to the next player. This creates an interesting interaction where solving your own puzzle also affects the challenges available to your opponents.
